Based on an unbelievably moving true story of a professor who finds a lost dog and taking him in beyond his better judgment (and wife's wishes). But he becomes so attached to this amazing animal that ends up changing the lives of many. Hachiko started running to the station to meet his master, everyday without fail. But when the man dies, Hachi continues to wait for him at the station. While basic at the heart of it, that is what makes this such a moving film that will have many viewers choking back the tears.
